Poonam Sagar balances a fulfilling life of her family, children, work, and contribution.
She is an IT entrepreneur, consultant, and mentor with a special interest in the online rich media space, and enjoys leading projects from concept to implementation with hands-on knowledge of programming, business planning, and marketing.
As a co-owner of an international IT firm specializing in tailored solutions for media (www.infotech.co.id), Poonam is also a TV talk show host and manages a successful community portal for Indians in Indonesia (www.indoindians.com). This has given her hands-on learning with online social networking, digital interactive technologies and the power of the web.
As one of the three founding members of the One Million Trees (www.onemilliontrees.org), a non-profit organization which plants trees in Indonesia, Poonam explains that the organization has already planted 250,000 trees this year in 2008, with a goal to plant one million trees every year ‘aiding global cooling'.
Driven by a thirst for learning and insatiable curiosity about the world, Poonam has three post graduate degrees in science, business and technology. An avid reader and occasional writer with a motto to Learn, Apply and Achieve, she likes to play a ‘bigger game’ in life.
